OK, Show me how to build a web site.
If you are here
we hope you have already visited, Getting Started
and Before Building Your Web Site. If not,
that's OK since we are going to show you how to do
this using very basic steps. One way to learn
some of the steps is to go to
getebooksnow.us
and obtain your FREE copy of Instant Internet
Empires. It is outdated but offers a wealth of
information. We doubt if you will make any
money selling that particular eBook. We
provide it FREE because it will show you some very
simple steps in developing a web site. If you
do not want to do that we are going to show you how
to build a very simple web site using HTML code.
Background
When you use your browser to
look at web sites, you are really looking at the
results of the HTML code. Hypertext Markup
Language or HTML is the language of the web.
It is the code that allows you to view the files. So
if you want to develop a web site you need to learn
something about HTML. In today's world the various
Web editing programs do much of the encoding for
you. With that said, it is still good to have a
basic understanding of the code. A good analogy
would be like using your calculator to do
mathematical functions. You still need to know about
addition and subtraction even if the calculator is
performing the functions. Look at it as fun. Don't
laugh, you can still have fun while learning. Even
if you don't fun, it is something that you need to
know how to do if you want to learn some valuable
skills while you build and hopefully profit from
your web site.
What do I need
You should have all the tools if you are reading
this, a computer, a web browser, and the program
notepad. Since I am unfamiliar with a MAC,
everything will be for a MS operating system. I did
not add audio because not everyone has high speed
internet. I may make another version with audio at a
later date. If for any reason you get stuck or are
confused. Send me an email and I'll get back to you.
